Philippians 4:10-23

At Last! | Philippians 4:10-14
Again, Paul rejoices!
At last? They have renewed their concern?
“Not because I am in need…”
The REAL context of “I can do all things…”
“All things” may not be what you think
Contentment is not found in our circumstances
Contentment takes strength
Strength comes from Jesus
Again, “it was good of you to share in my troubles”

This Means More Than You Know | Philippians 4:15-20
I will never forget your sacrifice early on
Your focus was on the Gospel then…
Where has their focus been recently?
It seems their focus is coming back
This isn’t manipulation, but for their credit
Supplying Paul for the advancement of the Gospel is an offering pleasing to God
“My God” will meet all your needs
To “our God” be glory for ever and ever!

We Are Reaching the World | Philippians 4:21-23
Greet the “saints” in Christ Jesus
All the “saints” send you greetings
Especially those in Caesar’s household
The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit

 Philippians 4:2-9

A Personal Call for Unity | Philippians 4:2-3
Can we simply agree to disagree?
Or should we agree in the Lord?
Euodia, Syntyche, Clement… fellow workers!
Members of the Body of Christ. | Romans 12:18ff
Whose names are in the book of life. | Revelation 21:11-15

Joy and Anxiety | Philippians 4:4-7
Rejoice in the Lord always
I will say it again (16X), rejoice!
Your gentleness should be evident… to all!
Remember, the Lord is near!
Approach God with thanksgiving!
The Peace of God will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus!
It’s a promise!

Obedience and Peace | Philippians 4:8-9
Keep your minds on the right things.
It’s a choice!
Keep doing the right things.
I’ve been your teacher and your example!
Through prayer you receive the Peace of God
Through obedience you will experience the God of Peace with you.

Philippians 3:12 – 4:1

Lessons We Can Learn From Paul | Philippians 3:12-14
He hasn’t arrived yet. Have you?
He’s determined to “press on”. Are you?
He knows “for what Jesus took hold of him.” Do you?
He’s just like us. He calls us “brothers”.
He doesn’t let the past hold him back. Do you?
This is our calling from God.

Major on the Majors | Philippians 3:15-16
Spiritual maturity is demonstrated in agreement with Paul’s view on these things.
Not in agreement? Trust God to help.
We should have unity around what He’s already given us

You’re Not Alone in This | Philippians 3:17-19
There are some among you who are following my example. Pay attention to them!
Our mission is too critical! This dying world is breaking Paul’s heart.  Does it break yours?

This Is Not Our Home | Philippians 3:20-4:1
Where should our focus be? Luke 9:62
Our Savior is returning and He will…
     bring all things under His control…
     make us more like Him!
Paul’s love is stated 5X before his command…
     This is how you should stand firm!
Then he states it once more.
We should, likewise, take his advice
