The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart-that is the word of faith which we are preaching, that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved; for with the heart man believes, resulting in righteousness and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.
Romans 10:8-11.

“Woe to you experts in the law, because you have taken away the key to knowledge. You yourselves have not entered, and you have hindered those who were entering.” | Luke 11:52
Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God. | Matthew 4:4
Faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ. | Romans 10:17
The Bible is key because…
1) …it is divine! – “Your word, Lord, is eternal…” (89)
2) …it is utterly dependable! – “by them You have preserved my life” (93)
All Scripture is God-breathed…– 2 Tim 3:16a
3) …it is wonderfully deep! – “Your commands are boundless” (96)
is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness…– 2 Tim 3:16b so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work…– 2 Tim 3:17
Psalm 1: The Blessed Life | September 22, 2019
1 Blessed is the man
who walks not in the counsel of the wicked,
nor stands in the way of sinners,
nor sits in the seat of scoffers;
2 but his delight is in the law of the LORD,
and on his law he meditates day and night.
3 He is like a tree
planted by streams of water
that yields its fruit in its season,
and its leaf does not wither.
In all that he does, he prospers.
4 The wicked are not so,
but are like chaff that the wind drives away.
5 Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment,
nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous;
6 for the LORD knows the way of the righteous,
but the way of the wicked will perish. (ESV)

Key Question: What were Caleb’s convictions which enabled him to follow God wholeheartedly?
Conviction #1: God is always true to His word, therefore I should believe everything He says.
Conviction #2: God’s actions are always right, therefore I can always trust Him.
Conviction #3: God is faithful, therefore, I must act with confidence pursuing what He calls me to do.
