Today’s passage | Luke 24:13-49

Jesus Wants a Conversation with Us… | (vv. 13-24)
A slow walk home with a perfect stranger
They were kept from recognizing Him…
What did they know? What things?
The tomb was empty… and so were they 

Why Don’t We Understand? | (vv. 25-28)
We’re foolish and slow…
We have the information…
It’s been proven true…

Jesus wants to be invited in… | (vv. 29-32)
“You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you…”             (Jeremiah 29:13-14a)
He wants our hearts…
Then their eyes were opened…
When He captures our hearts the Bible comes alive! 

He wants us to spread the Good News! | (vv. 33-49)
“It is true! The Lord has risen!”
We recognized Him when He broke the bread…
He comes in peace
Why do doubts rise in your mind?
I’m real. Let’s eat!
Then He opened their minds…
The Christ will suffer… and rise… and repentance and forgiveness of sins will be preached in His name…
You will be my witnesses…
You won’t do this alone…
The Holy Spirit will come, then you must go and proclaim the Good News!

 He’s ALIVE!
